Chris Neverve is currently serving as a noncommissioned officer and trumpet section leader with the 282nd Army Band in Fort Jackson, South Carolina which serves over 600 military missions a year. Chris performs in a number of different ensembles which include brass quintet, ceremonial marching band, concert band, and jazz band.
Chris attended East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina where he studied under Dr. Britton Theurer. There he completed a Bachelor of Music degree in trumpet performance, and a Master of Arts in Teaching Music Education. During his time at ECU Chris performed with many groups including the Jazz Ensemble A, Symphony Orchestra, and Symphonic Wind Ensemble. Chris taught at Croatan High School in Newport, North Carolina throughout his time at ECU. There he learned from some of the greatest music teachers in the Carolinas, Tripp and Alice Aldredge. Chris has always been an avid fan of drum corps and was lucky enough to be a member of the 2007 Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps.
Chris currently lives in Columbia, South Carolina with his amazing wife, Ashleigh, and daughter Finley.
